Philippians: Life in Christ

Towards the end of his life, under arrest and awaiting trial in Rome, Saint Paul writes a short but powerful letter to the Philippians. The Philippians were not only Paul’s sons and daughters in the Faith but also his partners in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

At the heart of this letter is Paul’s eloquent hymn of Christ’s total gift of self. With his words and the example of his life, Paul exhorts the Philippians to have the mind of Christ, to live a life worthy of the Gospel, and, by God’s grace, to gain Christ.

The 2018 Annual Diocesan Appeal is now underway in our parish. Your support of this year’s Appeal ensures that essential charitable, educational and pastoral ministries of the Diocese of Peoria are continued and carried forward.

Thanks to all who made a pledge to the 2018 Annual Diocesan Appeal.  If you wish to use the 2017 average gift for Holy Trinity as a benchmark for your 2018 ADA pledge, it is $345.00. No gift is too small, and our parish is trying to reach 100% participation. If you have not yet made a gift to the 2018 ADA, we encourage you to do so today. There are envelopes at the ends of the pews.  Every dollar raised to make our goal supports important diocesan services.

If you wish to make a donation on your pledge next weekend or to pay your contribution in full, please make your check payable to the Catholic Diocese of Peoria. Reminder statements are sent monthly from July to December. Donations may also be made by signing up for automatic deduction by credit or debit card, by direct debit or online. Any funds received above our goal are returned to our parish. May God continue to bless our Diocese and the services and programs provided by the ADA.

Our ADA Goal for 2018 is $135,500.
